I’ve been getting conflicting emails and information about Waste Industries accepting plastics #1 though #7 for recycling in the Summerville area. Being able to recycle plastics #3, 4, 5, and 6 is the Holy Grail of reclamation, and would be HUGE for our area. Plastic #7 cannot be recycled anywhere, which makes me question the validity of these claims. I mean, collecting all seven plastics is one thing, recycling them is another.
I have been unable to reach anyone at Waste Industries, so if you’re living in Summerville and have any informatinon, please leave a comment.
