I wouldn’t say that I’m counting on my kids to save the planet, but teaching them early and often is surely going to help. The “kids” in Gen Y and younger are truly engaged in the environmental movement, and Lowcountry Earthforce is proudly showing off their efforts this Friday.
The 10th Annual Youth Environmental Summit kick off this Friday (May 30) at 9 a.m. at James Island County Park. This is a big day for the kids, who will be presenting the results of their service projects. Students from around the Lowcountry have worked on these projects all year, and this event serves as a graduation of sorts – a chance for them to share their knowledge with the community and other kids.
If you are interested in attending or have any questions, please contact Kelli Beltran at EarthForceSummit@gmail.com.
